COUNTRY: Costa Rica
Even though this little country can fit into Alberta 12 times, its reputation for producing amazing coffee far exceeds its borders! Costa Rican coffee has set the standards for fine wet-processed coffee for the rest of Central and South America. The nation has eight coffee growing regions, the most famous being Tarrazu.

REGION: Heredia
Heredia is a tiny province situated in the north central mountain region of Costa Rica and mostly located in the Central Valley. The high elevation and volcanic influence, have made this the home to some of the highest graded coffees from Costa Rica. Home to the Coffee Institute of Costa Rica, Heredia is the cradle for much of the innovation in coffee technology around the world.

FARM: Cooperative Farms
This coffee is produced by various farmers. The small size of their exquisite estates does not permit for feasible export volume, so they pool together to produce an exceptional Strictly Hard Bean. After generations of tending the same plantations, the ideal coffee varieties have been matched to the specific micro climates of each farm.

I am Satisfied

I haven’t been using this company for very long but so far I have no complaints. I appreciate the free sample of alternative beans that gets added to my order.

Great service

I have been using Green Coffee for several years and they are always prompt with delivery and I love the beans they provided.

I'm giving it 5 stars because it roasts nicely even with my amateurish standards.

But with my amateur roasting methods using a Nesco coffee roaster I found that the medium roast setting would not get to the first crack, the beans were very light coloured and seemed to be not properly roasted. The dark roast setting seems to roast a little too dark, but it seems to take that long to get to the first crack. By contrast, the Columbian roasts very nicely in the Nesco on the medium setting. The Costa Rican coffee definitely has a different taste, not as smooth as I'm used to.

Excellent service and also an excellent price.

Excellent coffee. I have been roasting coffee for 15 years and this is the first 50lbs I have purchased from the Geen Coffee Co. They are now my preferred vendor.
